Meet the makers of this a multi-award-winning student film. Made by IADT/NFS students, Backwaterthat won the top RTS Undergraduate Student Film awards for Best Drama, Best Camera and Best Editing in 2019. These prestigious RTS awards were achieved against competition from student filmmakers across Ireland and in competition with the regions and nations of the UK.
Scenario
In the depths of rural Ireland, Tommy has done everything to look after his sick father, succumbing to a life of isolation in the process. However, letting go proves to be more difficult than he had imagined.
This event will be of interest to to people interested in filmmaking, filmmakers, people concerned about the care of older people and those who are interested in social circumstances in rural Ireland today.
