ITV Studios Head in conversation with the Royal Television Society.

Later this year award winning current affairs producer/director and now Managing Director of ITV Studios UK, Julian Bellamy, will deliver the RTS North East and Border Keynote Lecture.

He will now be leading the country’s largest commercial production company where revenues in the last year have increased by 12%.

He was previously the Discovery Networks International Creative Director where he was in control of production and development in 200 countries. Kevin Lygo (who is ITV Studios’ MD) has praised Bellamy’s combination of creative and business talent in producing fantastic and rewarding results.

From 2005 he was the Head of E4 where he decided that the channel should be 24 hour. This decision increased their core audience by 30%. His success of drawing in audiences continued as BBC3’s Channel Controller from 2006 where his decisions improved the channel’s target audience share, of 16-24 year olds, by 40%.

Produced in association with CTBF (Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund), the UK Cinema, TV and Film charity.

Admission is free, but registration is essential via our Eventbrite link1815 for 1900 — estimated end time 2015.
