Want to work in TV but not really an office job person?  Did you know there’s a whole department that finds and organises incredible, secret, inspiring locations for filming in? If you’ve ever wondered how a TV show found that space to film in or where it is, whose job it is to run the site and if you could do that job – maybe a freelance career working in the Locations department is for you!

Unit Manager, Guy Bishop ('Last Letter', with junior credits on 'Maleficent 2', 'Detective Pikachu', 'Bulletproof' (Sky), 'Behind Her Eyes') leads us through how the department works, an average day, common tasks and challenges, location scouting and why it’s a job like no other!

Guy is joined by panellists:

Elliot Sansom is an Assistant Studio Manager at OMA Film Studios in Enfield, where he was hired for his experience in the Location Department working on such Feature Films & High-End TV as 'Wonder Woman 1984', 'Venom 2', 'Dr Doolittle', 'Spider-man: Far From Home', 'A League of Their Own' (Sky1), 'Avenue 5', 'Black Mirror' and many others.

Tino Hapaguti is a Location Assistant with 5 years experience in the Location Department. After getting his start in Music Videos & Short Films, Tino currently works in Feature Films & TV Dramas on productions such as 'I May Destroy You', 'Bulletproof' (Sky), 'Last Night in Soho' and 'Morbius' to name a few.

Kerry Matthew started out in the industry as a Production Coordinator, before moving into the Location Department. She now has 6 years of experience and her junior credits include Solo: A Star Wars Story, Bridgerton, and Spiderman: Far From Home; and more recently Gangs of London and Wrath of Man as an Assistant Location Manager.
