The Gay Byrne Memorial Lecture returns to the Lighthouse Cinema this November for another exciting instalment.
Following the success of last year's inaugural lecture, the RTS Republic of Ireland are delighted to announce the Gay Byrne Memorial Lecture 2024, which will take place on the 13th of November in the iconic Lighthouse Cinema once again.
This year’s theme for discussion is the issue of fake news. We are very excited to welcome our keynote speaker this year - writer, journalist and broadcaster Olivia O’Leary. The evening will be moderated by Brian MacCraith, Chair of the Commission for the future of Media.
Following the talk the floor will be open to Q&As from the audience.

The evening will kick-off at 6pm with a drinks reception in the Lighthouse Cinema’s foyer, with the lecture starting at 6:30pm sharp.
