Register Now…File based Auto-QC in Media- So what is the state of the art? Is file analysis really necessary? How far has Auto-QC come since File Delivery Day, and where is it going?

Join RTS Thames Valley at Pincents Manor for  pizza and a pint, and what promises to be a lively panel discussion on the subject of File Based Auto-QC.

Chaired by Tony Orme, panel members will include Penny Westlake, Interra Systems, Jonathan Amesbury from Vidcheck, Ian Baker from Metaglue.

Most major broadcasters and media organisations around the world have long seen the need to have reliable file analysis tools in place to check that their programmes go out to distribution, whether it be  broadcast or over the web, without errors, either in conformance or quality. They find it essential to have Auto-QC in place at many stages of their workflows, to ensure that quality.

In the UK, the major broadcasters got together in the Digital Production Partnership, resulting in File Delivery Day, in October 2014. We look at how things have gone since then.

The work the DPP did made life much easier for producers to deliver programme files to UK broadcasters…but what about the rest of the world?

As file based workflows become increasingly more complex, with multiple formats, multiple processes, and multiple integrated systems, we take a look at the state of the art, and ask where auto-QC is now, and where it might go in future?

As file based workflows become more complex, there is an increasing need to analyse media files. We take a look at the state of the art in auto-QC
