Join BECTU, BFI NETWORK and Film Hub North, Film & Television Charity, Northern Film + Media, Media Industries North East and the Royal Television Society for a Christmas get-together with pre-networking one-to-one surgeries.
The evening is open to everyone in a behind-the-camera role in the screen industries - from seasoned professionals to those right at the start of their careers. Whether you want to talk to us, build your network, catch up with old friends, or all of the above, we’ll look forward to welcoming you.
From 5.30-6.30pm there’ll be a chance to talk one-to-one to representatives of each organisation in pre-booked Surgeries (book during Registration). Come along to find out what each organisation has to offer, or bring specific queries about you career or project. We expect surgeries to last between 5 and 10 mins, depending on demand. There will also be further opportunities to talk with representatives of the partner organisations throughout the evening.
From 7pm the evening will open up into a general networking get-together – an unformatted chance to catch up with friends and colleagues in a relaxed environment. Representatives of the hosting organisations will still be there to talk, but you’ll have to shout!
Your first drink will be on us (mazel tov!) – so long as you register and don’t turn up too late, anyway. There’ll be a pay bar for the rest of the evening. We’ll have some light bites earlier in the evening, but you might want to grab something to eat first.
Registration: to register for networking and/or surgeries please follow the link above. For more about surgeries with the participanting organisations please see below.
You may register for an additional guest for networking (please give us their name though for our guest list), but surgeries can only be booked individually. Surgery slots will be allocated first come first served; appointments and times will be confirmed around a week before the event.
We would like to thank Louise Bennett, Richard Hibbs and the Tyneside Cinema team for their support of this event.
