The Royal Television Society North West is proud to present the first event for 2014 - an evening discussion with the renowned broadcaster Michael Crick.

Michael Crick is currently Channel 4 News’ Chief Political correspondent.

Michael Crick has had a distinguished career in the political media industry. In 1982 he was a founding member of the Channel 4 News Team. After he joined the BBC in 1990 he became involved in Panorama and became a regular reporter on Newsnight. Recently he has been in the news for his particular explosive interview with UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom. This would be a fantastic opportunity for media and political students.

With Michael’s knowledge and experience he is the perfect figure to ask about his own personal journey in the media industry AND he can offer invaluable advice to help prospective students who are intent in building a career in the media.

The event takes place inside BBC North itself so is a unique opportunity to see inside BBC North’s new HQ, and watch TV programmes, actually being made!

Tickets are free of charge but their availability is limited, so it is recommended to book them as soon as possible. To make a reservation, please contact Rachel Pinkney at rachelpinkney@yahoo.co.uk
