Centre Event
RTS Cymru Wales is delighted to host COP a Load of This: a live panel seminar to coincide with COP26, featuring four key leaders in sustainable production, to explain their own experience in reducing their carbon footprint, and discuss the road ahead.
COP A Load Of This (#COP26RTS) oozes with the information industry needs to know.
Joining us on the 11th of November will be Jo Finon of Sky Sports, Sally Mills of BBC Studios, Greg Mothersdale of Clwstwr and Roger Williams of Joio TV:
- As Manager of Responsible Production, Jo Finon is responsible for Sky Sports’ award-winning Sustainability strategy, driving change across the entire outside broadcast industry, in a rapid-turnaround, high-pressure environment.
- Sally Mills is Head of Operations and Sustainability Lead for BBC Studios Productions, managing the services core to the operation of the business, and championing mandatory training.
- Greg Mothersdale is a Research and Development (R&D) Producer at Clwstwr – an innovation programme for the south Wales screen sector. Greg is Clwstwr's lead on environmental sustainability, championing a more sustainable screen sector in Wales and beyond.
- A Bafta-winning playwright, screenwriter and producer at Joio TV, Roger Williams works in both English and Welsh. His cop drama BANG won the first ever Green Award at the 2020 Edinburgh TV Festival – recognising the production's enormous strides in improving sustainability.
The session will be hosted by RTS Cymru Wales’ digital manager, and Managing Director of Siml, Owen Williams – a lifelong recycler!
