With our focus on cutting edge technology its often easy to forget about other team members who are not involved in technical advances, sales and marketing. Our Best Media Hero category acknowledges and recognises this group of unsung media hero’s. 

The nominee doesn’t have to be technical, but must demonstrate something they have done, or continue to do, that helps make their company stand out. It might be supporting other members of the team, so they can do their own jobs better or going the extra mile to help improve customer satisfaction.

Thames Valley RTS understands the significant contribution all members of a business play in the broadcast and media technical community and are offering an award for best media hero.

Thames Valley has a history steeped in technological advances for the broadcast and media industries. Some of the most influential advances and innovation the industry has ever seen has taken place in this area. 

Young people are crucial to the development of our industry and they continue to make significant contributions to the international scene. Whether its an advance in research and development or an optimization of a critical process, we need to recognise and applaud these efforts.

Modern business benefits greatly from working with the community. As well as helping companies build better teams and work more effectively together, it also encourages greater social responsibility and helps to build better communities.

Just a brief look on social media shows how much is already going on within the broadcast industry. Whether is a cycle ride to the yearly IBC pilgrimage or fun run to raise money for local charities.

Thames Valley RTS recognises the importance businesses play in community support and are offering an award for best community improvement business.

Dates

The following dates apply;

  1. 1st October - Invitation for submissions of applications
  2. 5th November – Deadline for submissions
  3. 15th November – Shortlist will be announced
  4. 23rd November – Winners will be announced at the Thames Valley RTS Winter Ball

Application Format

Each applicant will need to provide the following information in their submission;

  1. Company Name
  2. Contact name, email address, and telephone number
  3. Website address
  4. A written submission of no more than 500 words advising why you think your company should win the category “Best Community Improvement Business”
  5. Applications should be submitted as a PDF file, with the company name in the filename, and emailed to RTSThamesValley@rts.org.uk by the deadline date.
