The RTS Student Television Awards 2014 reward outstanding work produced during the 2013/2014 academic year.
Undergraduate entries were judged at a regional level, with the winners being put forward for consideration at national level, while postgraduate entries automatically qualified for national assessment.
On the 27th March, the same day as our Breaking into the Media event, Bridgend College's Sony Theatre was the venue for the Zoom Young Film Makers Awards, with the films screened during the evening providing ample testimony of the emerging talent among film makers in Wales, particularly in some of the youngest categories. The evening ended with the presentation of the 2014 RTS Wales Centre Student Television Awards.
The Royal Television Society, Britain's leading forum for television and related media, has announced the winners of the RTS Programme Awards 2015.
Chaired by David Liddiment, the RTS Programme Awards honour excellence across all genres of television programming, from soaps to history, children’s fiction to comedy performance and sports, and recognise exceptional actors, presenters, writers and production teams as well as the programmes themselves.

The very best in British television journalism has been honoured at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.
Journalists, broadcasters and agencies competed in 17 categories for a coveted RTS award at a ceremony at the Hilton, in Park Lane, London, hosted by CNN International News Anchor Becky Anderson tonight, 18 February.
The RTS NW Student Awards 2014 ceremony took place on Wednesday 11 February at the Compass Rooms, Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays and was hosted by Louise Minchin from BBC Breakfast. BBC Sport's Dan Walker was the guest speaker.

The awards recognise the huge variety of skills and processes involved in programme production, from editing to lighting, and costume design to digital effects.
This year saw a host of television professionals competing in 25 categories for a coveted Royal Television Society Award. In addition there were two awards given at the discretion of the Jury Chairs: the Judges' and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The annual RTS Young Technologist Award has been awarded to Bobby Moss, Graduate Software Engineer, BT Group Plc for his contribution towards innovation in television technology.
Bobby was chosen to receive the award, which is presented in memory of A.M. Beresford-Cooke, by a panel of judges chaired by Terry Marsh, Digital Media Consultant.
