Stock up on Turkey leftovers and settle in, Tuesday's TV offers a brand-new psychological thriller, and a nostalgic look at the greatest summer in Lionesses' history as the England women's football team grabbed the Euro's 2022 title.

Riptide

Channel 5, 9pm

Jo Joyner (Stay Close) leads a four-part psychological thriller set in Melbourne, Australia. Joyner plays Alison, a woman enjoying newlywed life when her husband Sean suddenly vanishes after going surfing.

Police presume he’s drowned in the riptide, but Alison suspects something more sinister might be at play.

First Dates at Christmas

As Maitre’d Fred Sirieux prepares to open his restaurant doors over the festive period, the guests include a jeweller and a portrait artist who is on the look-out for a wife, a vicar and a parish worker with a knack for terrible dad jokes, a DJ and the self-proclaimed Queen of Christmas who bond over beatboxing and Arsenal, and a pair of students – one of whom has never had a relationship lasting longer than three hours.

Lionesses: How Football Came Home

After a triumphant summer saw the Lionesses bring football home at the Women’s Euros 2022, this feature-length documentary offers an inside look at how they did it. With interviews from players including captain Leah Williamson, goalkeeper Mary Earps, Nikita Parris and Jill Scott, the film will showcase the Lionesses’ rise to victory, with previously unseen footage and official highlights.
