The series sees the bride or groom stranded in a far-flung corner of the world with their friends, but without their possessions or any local lingo or knowledge. Meanwhile, back at home, their partner must single-handedly sort out the wedding plans, and hope their spouse-to-be makes it in time.

Troy is a lawless town where alien gangs make a living from smuggling alien hair to humans, who smoke it as a drug.

When border guard Lewis (Michael Socha) discovers that he is half alien, his life is thrown into turmoil. Stephen Mangan (Episodes) stars as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle alongside Michael Weston (Six Feet Under) as illusionist Harry Houdini in a new series highlighting the two friends’ crime solving antics.

At the turn of the 20th century, the Metropolitan Police was overwhelmed by bizarre cases, and often turned to outsiders, including Sherlock Holmes creator Doyle, and Houdini for assistance.

This week the pair investigate the murder of a nun at one of the notorious Magdalene Laundries. A witness says the killer is a young woman who was tormented by the nun. However, the woman in question has been dead for six months already.
