The genius of fixed-rig documentaries has already allowed us to see into the world of Cardiff high schools, African tribes and accident and emergency units.

Now it opens the window to the world of children, and the results are wonderful. In the first episode of this news series, we see how the playground is a social minefield.

Sarah Jane Crawford presents this year’s Mobo awards, celebrating music of black origin, live from Leeds.

X Factor judge Rita Ora will perform, as well as Lethal Bizzle, Lianne La Havas and FKA Twiggs.

The show is preceeded by Mobo: Paving the Way (7pm), which celebrates 20 years of the awards, including contributions from artists who have benefited from winning awards, including Ms Dynamite and Tulisa.

Actors Maureen Lipman and Larry Lamb explore Britain’s heritage, exploring the country’s landscape, history and traditions to paint the ultimate picture of ‘Britishness.’

In the penultimate episode of the series, they head to Lancashire to investigate the county’s craft and culinary contributions.

Attacks on journalists have increased significantly in the last year, with many having to live with constant police protection.

Guru-Murthy asks why they put their lives on the line when Mafia bosses influence almost every aspect of life in Sicily.
