Sky continue to grow their product range with the news that they have now gained the rights to North American Major League Soccer.

Sky Sports has won exclusive rights to broadcast North American Major League Soccer (MLS) in the UK.

The four-year deal starts in March with Sky planning to broadcast two regular season matches per week as well as the All Star Game and the playoffs.

Managing director of Sky Sports, Barney Francis said, "†ootball in the US and Canada has enormous potential for growth and we can'´ wait to bring this competition to our viewers for the first time. "¼/p>

Sky Ambassador David Beckham, who spent five seasons with MLS side LA Galaxy said, "This is another important moment that shows the continued growth of MLS- it will broaden its appeal outside of the US. "¼/p>

As Premier League legends Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard are both set for moves to the MLS at the end of the Premier League season, the competition proves it can attract some of the big names in football.

Steven Gerrard will play for Beckham's former side, LA Galaxy while the ex Blue is moving to New York City.

The news comes on top of other big rights deals with Sky securing live Premier League games as well as The Open last month.
