ANIMATION

Weird Cops - Faith Evans, Dylan Pierce, Falmouth University

Judges Comment: "Weird Cops took us on a wild ride through a comic book landscape with engaging sound design"

DRAMA

Sub Rosa - Isabel Hall, Robin Irvine, Becks Bouron, Zen Traynor, Talia Martin, Jeanie Malcolm, Falmouth University

Judges Comment:  "We could almost smell the lino floor in Sub Rosa as this film dealt with the harsh treatment of women who fell pregnant out of marriage from the 50's through to the mid 70's. With strong imagery and narrative we were suitably impressed".

ENTERTAINMENT AND COMEDY DRAMA

Gnomegeddon - Cosmo Bawler, Jack Horder, Tom Chawner, Falmouth University

Judges Comment: "We were thrilled to see the killer gnomes were back for a second year and that Gnomegeddon was the best sequel since Jumanji".

FACTUAL - SHORT FORM

Sea Change - Anna Comellas, Thalia Stinton, Theo Russell, University of Plymouth

Judges Comment: "This film took us beneath the waves to highlight the hard truths of the ocean's health, filmed in multiple locations and enhanced with elegant graphics and beautifully shot interviews".

JOURNALISM

Finding Your Internal Garden, Ari Poole, Coco Bond, George Whitmore, Tanya Harris, Anna Hind, University of Plymouth

Judges Comment: "The judges thought the story telling of hooking yourself up to a plant and feeling it sing was exceptional".

SAVING THE PLANET

Green Ocean Gold - Olaf Lawrence, Charlie Greaves, Ollie Gambie, Sterenn Collett, Falmouth University

Judges Comment: "This film had very high production values, was well constructed with a very clear narrative, as well as some beautiful cinematic imagery".

CRAFT AWARD WINNERS

The RTS Devon & Cornwall Student Television Awards 2025 ceremony took place on Thursday 13 March 2025 at The Barbican Theatre, Plymouth with host, Victoria Graham from BBC Spotlight.
