RTS Cymru Wales will hosting its annual Student and Industry awards at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on Friday 21 April, and tickets are now on sale for the HP with Intel-supported event.

The evening will be hosted by presenter, weatherman, radio DJ, and energetic drummer Owain Wyn Evans (who has hinted he might bring his drumsticks to the event)!

There will be a performance from Welsh singer and radio presenter Ashleigh Scott and as well as the awards, RTS Cymru Wales will also be throwing a spotlight on the three Welsh broadcasters who each have a special anniversary in 2023.

Once again, it is an opportunity to gather professionals in the industry together with the creatives of tomorrow and we will be presenting awards for both students and the professionals in a more integrated way. We also have several new categories this year.

Edward Russell, Chair of RTS Cymru Wales, said

“Following the success of last year’s event, we’re planning on reflecting more of the different type of programmes being made in Wales such as Comedy, Entertainment and Sports. We also have some special new awards for the behind-the-scenes crew who are often overlooked such as Locations and Production Managers. And with our Presenter of the Year and Drama Performance, we hope to bring a touch of celebrity to the red carpet.”

The cost of the ticket includes pre-drinks, the 90-minute event and a post event reception.

Tickets are priced at £60 each and we are pleased to be able to discount student tickets to just £10.
