The Judges said:
There was immense respect for Chris Allan and his colleagues in taking the challenge to make TV for deaf viewers. Vera and Grantchester are both well put-together, exciting dramas, and David Fisher has done an excellent job adding to the value of these big shows. The opening of Vera is an excellent example of his ability to tell a story using multiple time lines in a coherent way.
Chris Middis is most certainly the definition of an outstanding professional video editor. His attention to detail, amazing storytelling and cinematography make his work really exquisite. The Operation Sanctuary documentary had excellent pacing, with clever use of sound effects and music. Chris shows real understanding of what is required to make TV interesting and engaging, and he goes the 'extra mile' to achieve it.
