Following the success of The Masked Singer, ITV has commissioned The Masked Dancer.
Joel Dommett will present the seven part series, with dancer Oti Mabuse, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall sitting on the judging panel.
Ross said: “What people don’t know is that secretly I am an expert in dance and can spot a ball change from a box step no problem.
“The title of best detective on the panel is most certainly coming my way!”
Celebrity contestants will have to perform unique dance routines while covered head to toe in extravagant costumes and masks, leaving it up to the panel and viewers to guess their identities.
There will be 12 celebrities putting on their alter egos and dancing shoes, and clue packages will accompany each to aid the panel and home detectives.
Dommett said: “Well, this is set to be an amazing fun twist…will someone do the twist?! The Masked Dancer is that little bit of silly fun our lives need right now and I’m so excited to be hosting it.
“I’m looking forward to some incredible costumes, epic performances and accidentally saying Masked Singer at least five times.”
The Masked Dancer will air on ITV this spring.
