The six-part series follows Debbie Fendon (French) as she deals with the death of her husband, William (Heap). Though devastated, at least she has an impending life insurance payout to look forward to. There’s just one problem: William isn’t actually dead.

Due to an administrative error, the two could be set for life, if William can manage to hide in the attic for a few months. Their son Harry (Craig Roberts, Young Dracula) also stands to benefit, meaning he’ll have to keep this from his wife Neha (Mandip Gill, Doctor Who). He’s easily overwhelmed, but that should be fine. One more problem: Neha’s a police officer.

Harry is trying to bring up a family of his own, which isn’t easy when your models for parenthood are Bonnie and Clyde wannabes. Will the scheme work? Or will someone crack under the pressure?
