RTS North East are delighted to once again be participating in BBC Academy’s Digital Cities 2018.

Collaborating with partners to bring together an exciting and innovative free training, masterclasses and events for the creative industries across Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Gateshead.

This year we are providing a special focus on nurturing new talent and creating an exciting future for the digital sector in the North East. The Royal Television Society North East and the Border invite industry professionals to give talks to future industry, with sessions including pitching scripts to commissioners with the writer behind ‘Good Karma Hospital’ (ITV) and ‘Trust Me’ (BBC), and the former editor of BBC Comedy and Scripted, as well as a masterclass with MTV and Lime Pictures as part of the highly successful Anatomy of a Hit series.

Aimed at professionals and new-starters alike, this week is a fantastic opportunity to bring together the region from all media sectors, promoting cross collaboration, new partnerships, education and skill development.

Further sessions will be delivered by; BBC Academy, Northern Film and Media, Teesside University, the University of Sunderland, BFI Network, BBC Writers Room, Innovate Now and PROTO: The Emerging Technology Centre.

 

Digital Cities North East will run from 15th October to 19th October 2018.
