Comedy Central is boosting its UK programming slate with two brand new comedy commissions.

Guessable

Guessable is a play-along panel show where two celebrity teams battle it out to identify the famous name or object inside a mystery box.

Comedian Sara Pascoe will host the show, with John Kearns acting as her assistant. Alan Davies and Darren Harriott will lead their teams as captains, in the format of a classic family game packed full of trivia…with a twist.

The eight-part series has been produced by Tuesday’s Child Television.

Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson

Comedy Central’s second commission, Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson will see the knitwear-loving comedian present a weekly digest of the weirdest TV in the world.

From peculiar global headlines to terrible soap opera acting and hilarious clips, Jon will offer his take on the weirdest wonders of TV. Jon will also be tracking down and chatting to the stars of viral clips, to find out more about their moment in the spotlight.

ViacomCBS Networks UK’s Deputy Director of Programmes, Sebastian Cardwell, commented: “I’m excited to be ramping up the shows that we’re commissioning for Comedy Central UK.

“These new series will bring a big dose of laughter to our expanding UK slate. With strong formats and a number of exceptional comedy talents attached to them, they are the perfect recipe of fun and humour.”
