Channel 4 has announced the return of celebrity skiing show, The Jump.
The show will return for a fourth series in early 2017 despite being dogged by a series of unfortunate accidents befalling its celebrity contestants in the most recent series.
The Daily Mail reported in March 2016 that the show had been axed following seven celebrity withdrawals from the show due to injury, including Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle who damaged two vertebrae while competing in the show and required surgery.
Channel 4 categorically denied that show had been cancelled.
Despite the accident-stricken last series, the show did well with audiences, averaging 2.3 million viewers across its six week run.
Channel 4 have stated that the new series has undergone a “thorough review of safety standards”
Davina McCall will be returning to host the show as viewers follow the famous faces taking to the slopes to compete in a series of gruelling challenges.
England rugby player and world cup winner Ben Cohen was announced as winner of the third series after jumping 18.25m in the ski jump.
