CBeebies has announced a raft of shows both old and new coming to the channel in January.
Making their debut are animated shows Vida the Vet and Lu & The Bally Brunch. Vida is a 10-year-old girl who, along with her hamster Popcorn, helps treat the animals of Sweetwood, which they enter through a magic door in their garden.
Lu & The Bally Brunch follows three-and-a-half-year-old Lu, a ladybird trying to get by in pre-school. She quickly befriends six other tots, and begins to learn about what it is to get along with other bugs.
Andy’s Global Adventures, on the other hand, is returning to CBeebies for a second series. The live action show follows Andy and Scout as they go around the globe in search of adventure. Whether it’s mountain gorillas in Ugandan forest or penguins in Peruvian desert, the show will shed light on some of nature’s most puzzling mysteries.
Also coming back for series two is Vegesaurs, the animated show about dinosaurs made of fruit and vegetables. The cast includes Ginger, a Tricarrotops, and the three Pea Rex – named Split, Minty and Wasabi, naturally – who think she’s their mum. Other Vegesaurs include Broccoliosaurus and the deadly Bananaraptor.
Vida the Vet and Andy’s Global Adventures will both begin airing on 15 January 2024. Vegesaurs follows on 22 January, and Lu & the Bally Bunch on 29 January.
