This award is to recognise the best on-screen performance this year by an actor — broadcast or non-broadcast. The performer might be working in TV drama or a digital docu-drama or in commercials. Entrants should be based in the North East and the Border region — or feature in content produced in the North and the Borders.

The Judges were looking for quality, and a professionalism expected of on-screen talent. Their performance must stand out, and complement the supporting cast and crew to contribute to a successful production. Why did this performance deserve to be recognised? How did they captivate the audience? How did they bring the screen alive?

The actor may nominate themselves, or be nominated by others. The portfolio should include three examples of the nominee’s work which can be from the same series.
