We hear from the insiders on series one of ITV's biggest ever drama

The long awaited second series of Broadchurch is underway on ITV, with the opening episode attracting 7.6 million viewers.

The story of detectives Ellie Miller (Olivia Coleman) and Alec Hardy (David Tennant) investigating the murder of an 11-year-old boy captivated the nation, and led to an American spin-off, Gracepoint.

Shortly after Broadchurch's first series concluded, the RTS hosted a panel of the programme's key players at the Broadchurch - Anatomy of a Hit event. Journalist Boyd Hilton was joined by lead actress Olivia Coleman, the show's creator, writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, director James Strong and Kudos chief executive and Broadchurch co-executive producer Jane Featherstone, to talk about how they made the hit series.
