Angela said:

"I can't wait to head back to Belfast to host this year's RTS NI Programme Awards. Northern Ireland is renowned as a real hub of creativity internationally with award winning productions like Game of Thrones, Line of Duty, The Commute and so many more choosing to film there. It promises to be a great night's celebration of television and talent!"

The RTS has partnered with BBC Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, Channel 4 and UTV for these prestigious awards which celebrate the achievements of the creative industries.

Steve Carson, Chair of RTS NI said:

“We are delighted that Angela is returning to Northern Ireland to host our Awards after her recent road trip here for The One Show which was hugely popular with local viewers. Angela is a highly experienced and talented broadcaster and the ideal choice for helping the RTS highlight the incredible talent available in Northern Ireland.

“The deadline for entries is Friday 8th September at 5pm and we have seen some fantastic entries come through already, the judges will have a difficult task ahead of them.”
