It's Red Nose Day, and if you're not already sporting a comic red nose, you will be later as the best of British comedy does something funny for money.

Red Nose Day launched in 1988, attracting 30 million viewers, and raising over £15 million for Comic Relief.

In the 30 years since Comic Relief was founded, the charity has raised over £950 million for global and domestic causes.

Red Nose Day has also provided some of the funniest moments in British television history. We've picked five of the most giggle-inducing moments in Red Nose Day's history to get you in the mood for a laugh.

Lauren Cooper meets Tony Blair (2007)

Mouthy schoolgirl Lauren Cooper (Catherine Tate) finally met her match when she undertook a work experience placement at Number 10. Lauren is left dumbstruck when then-Prime Minister Tony Blair asks "Am I bovvered?"

Smithy to the rescue (2011)

Organising an event like Red Nose Day is a massive undertaking, and after over two decades of planning, Lenny Henry and Richard Curtis ran out of ideas.
