Winners
Factual: James Page, Fabiano D’Amato, Peter Palos & Team
The jury felt that the winning entry “Street Car” was a lovely documentary, beautifully shot about the trams in New Orleans which held the attention straight away. It was beautifully structured and well-filmed, with good audience appeal taking a small subject and showing the evident pride the people featured have in their jobs and the service they provide.
Animation: Jo Bichard, Jack Cunningham
The winning animation, “Mars” was quirky, telling a story beautifully, and working well for a young audience. It was a nice length, and had good sound with music in keeping with the animation.
Drama: Alex Lipman, Ben Wheatley, Cenay Said & Team
“The Miserables” was considered by the jury to be outstanding. A very good emotional script, had been creatively executed with sensitivity, flair, restraint, and imagination.
