"I am extremely grateful to have been awarded the bursary and all the benefits that come with such an opportunity, not least the chance to meet and interact with people who are working in a field related to my degree in a somewhat non-traditional capacity. I can't wait to begin my studies and to see where my degree takes me, and am so happy the RTS is supporting me on my journey."

"The Royal Television Society does not care about your ethnicity, gender or background. They care about helping those looking to get into the industry achieve their dream. Receiving a bursary from the RTS is my step towards this. Not only does it offer me financial support but more importantly it offers me the opportunity to meet people in the industry through their events and mentoring scheme."

- Alicia Newing, RTS Production Bursary scholar

Alicia will be studying the BA (Hons) Film and Television Production course at University of Hertfordshire.
