Rosie Jones turns drug lord, The Buccaneers returns for series two and Heston Blumenthal grapples with mental health issues.
The Traitors NZ
After months of complaining about the cold, Summer is finally here, and, naturally, it’s far too hot. If you’re already looking back on January with nostalgia, you might be missing The Traitors.
Thankfully, the BBC has you covered, with the second series of the New Zealand version. Expect all the usual alliances, double-crossing and shouting matches, just in Kiwi accents (and, admittedly, a bit less Claudia Winkleman for your buck).
Monday on BBC iPlayer
Heston: My Life with Bipolar

Heston Blumenthal was in France when he was sectioned, after a manic episode which lasted a week in November 2023. For years, the celebrity chef’s mental health issues had flown under the radar. What now might be recognised as mania was then celebrated as genius, a core part of the eccentric brand that made Blumenthal’s name in the noughties.
Now, he fronts a documentary about being diagnosed with bipolar, featuring candid conversations with his adult son Jack.
Thursday, 8.00pm on BBC Two
The Waterfront
If you’ve been missing Holt McCallany since Mindhunter and The Iron Claw, this is the show for you.
Harlan Buckley (McCallany) is the head of a powerful family in Havenport, North Carolina, with huge sway over the small town’s fishing industry. However, he’s found himself in poor health of late, and the family finances aren’t doing much better. To try and make things right, Buckley takes desperate measures, attracting unwanted attention from the DEA.
Thursday on Netflix
The Buccaneers
The scions of the nouveau riche return to wreak havoc on 19th century London’s social scene.
The first series saw Nan St. George (Kristine Froseth, Looking for Alaska) marry into aristocracy by tying the knot with Theo, the Duke of Tintagel (Guy Remmers, Froseth’s real-life partner). In series two, Jinny St. George (Imogen Waterhouse, The Outpost) is still making headlines for leaving her abusive husband James (Barney Fishwick). You can also expect to see Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) making an appearance.
Wednesday on Apple TV+
Pushers
Rosie Jones (Out of Order) stars in her first sitcom.
What do you do when the DWP slashes your benefits? If you’re Emily (Jones), you decide to build a drug empire, for which cerebral palsy turns out to be the perfect cover. The police don’t look at her twice, and anyone who does take notice is too busy calling Emily ‘brave’ to accuse her of selling cocaine. Featuring a predominately disabled cast, Pushers sees a group of people ignored by society try and get away with the perfect crime.
