Channel 4 experiments with a digital-first series, the UK’s longest-running sitcom Not Going Out takes a new direction, and twelve new singles move into the villa…because when it comes to Love Island, some traditions are here to stay.
Beth
Nicholas Pinnock (This Town) and Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) star as Joe and Molly, a couple who, after years of infertility struggles and a gruelling IVF journey, are finally expecting a child. What feels like a dream quickly turns into a nightmare – the baby is born bearing no resemblance to her Black father.
Beth is the first of Channel 4’s dramas produced for YouTube. The series will drop on YouTube in three 15-minute clips, or, for those watching via traditional TV, will also air on Channel 4 as a single 45-minute episode.
Monday, 10.00pm on Channel 4
Love Island
A payroll specialist, a gold trader and a firebreather (turned motivational speaker) walk into a villa…
You know the drill – two months, 20+ singletons, and by the end, only one winning couple. On Monday, 12 contestants will move to Mallorca, looking for love from both their fellow islanders and the public.
Meet the confirmed islanders here!
Monday, 9.00pm on ITV2
FUBAR
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as a secret agent, Luke, who discovers that the agent he’s been sent to save is actually his daughter (Monica Barbaro, A Complete Unknown). Now the two both know each other’s biggest secret, they’ve been fighting crime together in a hilarious double act: juggling shootouts, spy missions, and awkward family dynamics.

Not Going Out

Lee and Lucy are back – but not as you know them. Lee Mack and Not Going Out are taking a leaf out of the Desperate Housewives handbook, with a six-year time jump. When we last left Lee and Lucy, they had three children and were dealing with school drama, in-laws, and trying to keep that spark alive. Now Mack and Sally Bretton will be playing empty nesters, moving to the countryside and potentially coming up against a whole new cast of characters.
Friday, 9.00pm on BBC One
Soccer Aid for UNICEF
CEO Steven Bartlett, Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd and One Direction’s Lewis Tomlinson will all be donning their football boots to raise money for UNICEF. Soccer Aid raised over £15 million for UNICEF last year, and with Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson’s Match Ball Mission already bringing in over £1.5 million, this year could be the one to break the 2022 fundraising record.
