Filming has begun on series two of BBC sitcom We Might Regret This, created by Lee and Kyla Harris.

Series one explored the tricky relationship between Freya (Harris), a tetraplegic model and artist, and lawyer Abe (The Personal History of David Copperfield). Freya moves to London for the relationship, but it’s not all rosy. She needs a personal assistant to provide constant care, who’ll be within earshot of every romantic moment and slightly less romantic argument. Freya decides that the best person for the job, naturally, is her chaotic best friend Jo (Elena Saurel, Industry).

Series two will see Freya and Abe plan their wedding, which involves a wedding-themed, disability-inclusive content campaign. Sophie Thompson (Detectorists) joins the cast as Beanie McElroy, who’s big in the alt bridal-wear space. That’s great, but don’t ask us (or Abe) what that means.

“We’re beyond excited to be back on set with series two of We Might Regret This!” said Kyla Harris and Lee Getty. “Expect more laughs, hard truths and nipples."

“So delighted to be back in production on We Might Regret This,” executive producer Rebecca Murrell. “Series two reboots our knotty relationships with drama, hope and hilarity.”

The series is produced by Roughtcut TV, known for their other hit comedy shows like Big Boys, Stath Lets Flats and People Just Do Nothing.
