It’s nearly time to head back to Mallorca for a 12th series of sun, scandal and emotional needle drops. Before it returns on 9 June, meet the confirmed contestants trying to find love in the villa this time round.
Sophie
The 29-year-old used to be a fire-breather, before sustaining injuries in a freak accident. The Manchester resident now works as a motivational speaker.
“I’m the CEO of empowerment,” she says. “I want women to feel beautiful and validated in themselves and feel their best self.”
Dejon
Dejon works as a personal trainer, and is looking for an Islander “who is beautiful on the inside and out, looks after themselves and is healthy”.
His dad was an ex-professional footballer, so exercise is in the blood. Hopefully the 26-year-old will find himself fit for purpose in the villa.
Meg
Hailing from Southhampton, the 25-year-old payroll specialist can certainly talk the talk.
If it was a business, her love life would be “bankrupt”, according to her, but no matter. “We’re going to make sales and get on that corporate ladder and be booming. Profits, profits, profits!”
Helena
Though she may live in London, the 29-year-old’s affections lie outside the M25.
“I feel like Northern people have much more banter than Southerners,” she says. “If you look through my previous dating history, you’ll see I clearly go for personality. You can pretty much laugh me into bed.”
Megan
The Dublin native has made her home in Brighton, where she works as an energy broker and musical theatre performer. Clearly a fan of variety, she’s also down for pretty much anything when it comes to type.
“I love a boy that’s a bit pasty, like Timothée Chalamet. I don’t mind scrawny, or a bit of a ‘dad bod’. I’m 5ft1 so any height really.”
Blu
The construction project manager wants someone who is family-orientated, with “a lot of love to give and a lot of love to receive”. Based on his flirting skills, would presenter Maya Jama hire or fire him?
“She’d fire me, but I’ve got the charm to smooth things over with a girl.”
Shakira
The 22-year-old works in marketing, and knows what she likes. Her type is “tall, charming, witty, with big arms, a good smile and just really funny.”
“It’s a busy love life,” she continues, “but I’ve not found ‘the husband’. I’m looking for ‘the one’. I’m looking for the ring.”
Harry
The Guildford resident is truly a jack of all trades, working as a gold trader, semi-professional footballer and model. His biggest claim to fame is being Declan Rice’s body double.
“You’ll never see my face, but you’ll see my shoulder or chest, that kind of thing.”
