The RTS Centre brought together a panel of industry leaders to reflect on this year’s NAB Show for those who couldn’t make it to Las Vegas.
Hosted at IMG Studios in Stockley Park, Uxbridge, and chaired by Keyframe Product Management’s Scott Rose, the panel featured Chandni Patel (Emotion Systems), Tim Banks (Grass Valley), James Clement (IMG Studios), Darren Long (ITV), Jennie Marwick-Evans (Manor Marketing) and Chris Evans (IABM).
AI was a recurring topic, with discussion on where it is starting to prove useful and where it is oversold. There was evidence of progress in cloud and hybrid workflows, with many vendors shifting from concepts to deployment.
The panel did not shy away from commercial reality, discussing the economic constraints shaping investment and the need for better value. RTS Technology’s Tim Marshall said: “The event gave a flavour of NAB and drew out observations, particularly the trend of wanting to do more for less and the importance of innovations getting to market quickly.”
